Family apartment in Nida

When fitting out a small home the priority is to make the space feel light and welcoming — achieved by using every corner with smart joinery, a neutral palette and considered lighting. In this kitchen the main challenge was a lack of worktop and storage space. It was solved with a smaller sink and hob, a kitchen island joined to the dining table, and full use of the vertical space. Choosing a dining table over a bar keeps the kitchen open thanks to the change in levels. On the living-room side, a decorative wall above the television with concealed lighting adds visual interest and makes the room warm and cosy. The TV unit is kept minimalist yet runs the full width of the wall, offering ample storage and even a built-in bio-fireplace for romantic evenings. By focusing on a sense of spaciousness and minimalist detail, even the smallest apartments can become stylish, comfortable homes.
